St. Louis (September 16, 2019) - Intalere, the healthcare industry leader in delivering optimal cost, quality and clinical outcomes, today announced the release of Episode 10 of its Illuminated Path Podcast Series, examining the need for more Traceability and Transparency in the Supply Chain with Intalere Chief Commercial Officer and AHRMM 2020 Board Chair Elect Steve Kiewiet.

In the episode, Kiewiet shared insight on how healthcare is undergoing a change of primary focus from B2B (hospital to payor) to B2C and how consumerism will only increase and require health systems to truly build their service delivery models around the needs and desires of the patient and the family. “The ability to effectively access data, correlate the information to other sources of data, validate the accuracy, and transform it all into meaningful, actionable evidence for clinicians, administration, finance, supply chain, patients and the community is a significant gap in the industry today,” he said.

According to Kiewiet, world class supply chain organizations can drive organizational strategy and have the people, process and technology to play the lead facilitation role in all non-labor resource management. “The organizations that recognize this and relentlessly pursue data-driven decisions on variation reduction, process improvement, cost management, relationship management and resource management – will be the organizations that thrive in the new healthcare economy,” he said.
